General
Population - Telephone Interviewing
We have established
partnerships with some of the industry's leading US general population
research and polling companies. In fact, sixty percent of our data
collection is among this group. Datascension is able to match or
beat various US call center's production and response rates. Challenged
by skeptical prospects, we've been put to the test on multiple occasions
by simultaneously running the same study as our US competitors in
our operations, always proving to our new clients that we are THE
most cost
effective and productive solution. The data tracks US call centers
and we meet or beat our competitor's response rates and productivity.
In fact, we encourage our clients to continue to challenge us, so
that we can continue to prove that we are the leaders in industry
for our data collection.
Similar to Europeans,
Costa Ricans have been studying English since the first grade. As
a result, they have perfect English grammar skills and slight Hispanic
sounding accents. However, it is equally common for the Costa Ricans
to have North American accents as well, since a large percentage
have spent time living abroad in the states. Datascension has implemented
a requirement on it's interviewers that includes termination of
employment if a respondent says, " I don't understand you,
what did you say" or a variation of this. We also boast having
English teachers on hand, so that an interviewer can be given the
opportunity to get tutoring lessons in English pronunciation. In
addition we want our introductions to sound as if we were dialing
from Utah. In Costa Rica, 45% of the staff that we hire has North
American accents (our "A employees), while 55% have slight
Hispanic Accents (B employees).
